The Project

           Description:

           The multilateral youth exchange brought together 8 promoters, 4 from EU countries: Romania, France, Portugal and the UK and 4 representing the EECA: Armenia, Georgia, Belarus and Ukraine, each one involving 4 youngsters and 1 leader around the themes of European awareness and Media and communications/Youth information.

           The project idea was launced on the occasion of the 2008 Annual Meeting of the European network organization (www.youth4media.com), where the 8 promoters are full members.

Main activities:

selecting the most representative topics by each national group;

transport
culture
fashion

collecting data;
basic training in multimedia production for the participants;
creating original video and audio materials;
uploading the “multimedia maps” on the web site;
TV broadcasting;
on site visits;
debates;
visibility/ promotion (e.g. www.owtv.de);
evaluation and follow-up .

           Project evolution:

           After being involved in preparation activities, the 40 participants met in Botosani(RO), for 7 days, in July 09.

           The project was based on exchange and debate. To do this, young people produced a journalistic work of collecting and processing information which enabled them to form an opinion on topics that concern and interest their communities.

           The expected result was to incourage active participation of the young people developing their capacity to express and exchange opinions alongside their natural curiosity and desire for inventing and imagining new things.

           It was a question of leading them using non-formal education tehniques to build a personal opinion on reality of the world and more particularly on that or those of Europe.
